2017 Recruitment: Angry Applicant Confronts N-Power, Rebukes Them For Disappointing Him, Causing Him Heart Attack

The bitterness and resentment created by the release of  names of successful applicants in the 2017 N-Power recruitment is still lingering as another apparently angry unsuccessful applicant, Jay Jude has openly confronted N-Power, rebuking them for disappointing and causing him heart attack.

The applicant expressed his disappointment while reacting to a post by N-Power in its official facebook page warning existing beneficiaries to desist from the campaign for permanency as they would soon expose and dismiss those leading the campaign for permanency.

Mr Jude blamed N-Power for his current bad state of health which resulted from the disappointment and heart attack he sustained following his failure to make the 2017 pre-selection list after waiting for long time.

His outburst immediately attracted a swift response from N-Power, warning him to 'proceed with caution' as social media cannot guarantee him the anonymity he seem to be enjoying - a response suggesting that he could be arrested for such open confrontation.

The obviously disgruntled applicant said: "You people should go and sit down! Why didn't you accept only people you can take during the registration and test? Do you know how many people you gave heart attack and disappointment after waiting for many months? Only to discover that the programme was designed for those that have Abraham at top, and few lucky unqualified candidates".

But in a swift reaction to the outburst, the obviously infuriated N-Power fired back at the applicant urging him to show some civility as his comment did not portray him as someone ready for conversation. While reminding him that the post is meant for other people, N-Power advised him to thread with caution.

"This is not the way to have a conversation. And this post is targeted at 2016 applicants. You need to do better, social media does not mean you are anonymous. Proceed with caution.

Both the comment by Mr. Jude and N-Power's response triggered heated debate as users trooped in to take side on the issue. While many others who suffered similar fate like Jude saw it as an opportunity to express themselves, few successful ones made effort at defending N-Power over the issue.

One of the users who reacted, Yahaya Shuaibu said: "Thank you my brother. Nice point. There is no justice in this recruitment because we have applied and wrote the test but missed out. Many were selected without conducting their assessment test.

Another user, Alade Ismaheel while supporting Mr Jude's position said:"With due respect Sir, I applied last year, I was not considered. This year again the same story. I am an HND holder plus PGD in education which qualified me as a professional teacher WAEC and NECO certified me. I had been teacging for more than five years now across the country. My question is: What is criteria for selection? Because when my name is still missing, only God can control me.
