Good News! N-Power To Embark On Another Recruitment Exercise In 2018


Indication has emerged that N-Power, the social investment programme of the federal government of Nigeria will reopen its online registration portal for fresh applicants to apply into the various programmes of the scheme next year.

N-Power, a youth empowerment scheme launched in 2016 by the President Mohammadu Buhari-led federal government of Nigeria is designed to enhance the employability of Nigerian graduates and equip them with relevant skills through on-the-job training in teaching, health, and agriculture sectors.

Beneficiaries of N-Power are posted to Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) in Schools, Primary Healthcare Centres, and Farms settlements to develop their skills and enhance their employability during the two-year period of the programme.

Beneficiaries are paid monthly stipend. 

N-Power gave the hint about reopening its registration portal for applicants while replying to a comment by one of their facebook followers, Sani Mahmud who indicated interest in applying for the job.

Sani wrote: "I want to be a part of the job" which means that he wants to apply for N-Power job.

His inquiry was immediately responded to by N-Power which advised him to stay tuned to their social media channels for further information on when their registration portal will be reopened for fresh registration.

"Good afternoon sir. Kindly stay tuned to our social media channels to be kept up to date on when the portal will be reopened", N-Power wrote in response to the inquiry.

Federal government targets to empower 500,000 unemployed youths through the programme.

In 2016, 350,000 graduates applied for N-Power job out of which 200,000 were pre-selected for physical verification while 2,543,079 persons applied in the 2017 N-Power graduate recruitment exercise. 300,000 applicants were pre-selected for the on-going physical verification exercise in various local government areas across the country.
