N-Power: 'Stop Saying That You Created 500,000 Jobs, N-Power Is Empowerment Not Employment' - Applicant Blasts FG

An N-Power applicant, Paul Angus has lashed out at the federal government for allegedly claiming that they have created 500,000 jobs through the Federal Government Social Investment Programme, N-Power, saying the scheme is only an empowerment programme, not employment.

Mr Angus called on N-Power beneficiaries not to allow themselves to be used in their different Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), adding that they were sent their only as assistants.

He shared his views about the nature of N-Power job on a social media.

He did not however, disclose the occasion or event where the federal government through any of its representatives referred to the N-Power job as an employment.

Mr Angus wrote: "N-Power is for Empowerment not for Employment, I wonder why the government are saying they have created 500,000 jobs instead of saying they empowered 500,000 people.

"To those N-Power beneficiaries, don't allow yourself to be used as rags in the place of your primary assignment. They already have workers that were employed to work and its their duty to do the work they are paid for not for them going to sit at home and stressing you with their own duty.

"Any of them threaten you always remind them that you are not employed but empowered. You are only been empowered. Check your dictionary you will know the clear difference between employment and empowerment.

He noted however that President Mohammadu Buhari is a good man but who is surrounded by 'some wicked souls'.

"Buhari is no doubt good, he has the youth at heart but some wicked souls around him are hindering what is wanted to do for the youth so that poverty will become a thing of the past.
