President Buhari said his experience as a military Head of State particularly is one if the reasons he not "in a hurry to do anything".
Speaking during a meeting with his party leaders and supporters Thursday afternoon covered by Channels TV in Abuja, Mr. Buhari explained that his delays in decision making is due to his experience as a leader.

"I decided to drop the uniform to be here (become President of Nigeria), so I have gone through it over and over again. This is why I am not in a hurry to do anything. I will sit and reflect, and continue to operate with my clear conscience"
"I had to invite you to let us eat together and I tell you that I am sitting here very much aware of the problems in this country. I will always reflect on historical antecedents", the President was quoted as saying.
President Buhari has for a part of his nearly 3 years in office, been a subject of public criticism due to his habit of responding to critical national issues at snail-speed.

After his inauguration as Nigeria's President in May 2015, it took the President about six months to set up his cabinet, an action that triggered public outcry and raised questions about the President's preparedness to pilot the nation's affairs.
