Permanency Group Hails Sack of 7 N-Power Beneficiaries, Says Thousands to be Fired Soon
Controversial N-Power group pushing for absorption of volunteers into federal civil service, G-111 for Permanency has welcomed the bold step taken by N-Power to sack seven beneficiaries who abandoned their places of primary assignment in Adamawa state.
The group described the development as a direct response to its ongoing effort to expose all N-Power beneficiaries who receives monthly stipend for doing nothing and ensure that they are punished in line with relevant laws.

In a statement on Saturday by Bolanle Obiodun, its National Publicity Secretary, the group maintained that thousands of N-Power volunteers in their list who have been proven to have abandoned their PPAs will soon receive similar treatment or something worse.
"We received with gladness the sack of seven corrupt and fraudulent N-Power beneficiaries in Adamawa state. We see the development as direct response to our decision to expose and punish every corrupt N-Power beneficiary. We are however, not impressed with the number of beneficiaries fired as there are hundreds of volunteers in Adamawa, like in other states, who deserve even worse treatment.
"While we appreciate this good step in the right direction, we urge the N-Power central office in Abuja to take the issue of already employed beneficiaries serious. In this context, both already employed and those who are not employed but doesn't go their PPAs are one and the same and will receive equal treatment.

"By the time we release our list of defaulters, those who think they have escape judgement will realize how wrong and unfortunate they are in their calculations. Any attempt to cover up or overlook defaulters will amount to injustice on the side of hardworking volunteers who are working in the hope that they will be rewarded with permanency in the federal civil service.
"We once again extend a hand of collaboration to Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment and the entire N-Power team whose competence and steadfastness have resulted in the smooth and peaceful running of the scheme.
"We are eager to work with them to ensure that only those who diligently performed their assigned duties at their various PPAs during the two years will benefit from absorption into federal civil service or any other befitting plan the federal government may have for the disengaging volunteers. Our list, when release, will lead to sack of thousands", the statement read.

The group urged beneficiaries to continue the discharge of duties in their PPAs as their reward for good work will surely get to them at the appointed time. "We shall shock Nigerians when we unveil the names of thousands of N-Power volunteers we have received so far who do not go work at their PPAs but receives monthly stipend".
"We are eager to work with them to ensure that only those who diligently performed their assigned duties at their various PPAs during the two years will benefit from absorption into federal civil service or any other befitting plan the federal government may have for the disengaging volunteers. Our list, when release, will lead to sack of thousands", the statement read.
