Leading N-Power Permanency group, G-111 for Permanency has outlined what it says should be the focus of the proposed Facebook live chat with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment, Afolabi Imoukhuede on Monday.

While describing the planned live chat as crucial, the group expressed hope that the live chat will address issues of interest to the great majority of volunteers especially that of future of volunteers as their exit from the scheme draws closer.

In a statement received by CNR Nigeria, the group's National Publicity Secretary, Bolanle Abiodun urged Mr. Afolabi to seize the opportunity to come clear on government plan for the outgoing beneficiaries.

"We received with joy the news of a planned Facebook live chat with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment, Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede slated for Monday 17 September, 2018. This is a boost to our earlier position that Mr. Afolabi and his team understand the time and trends in modern public administration and effective leadership.

"However, in order to ensure that the planned video chat yield desired result to the N-Power team and beneficiaries alike, we deem it necessary to outline some key issues a great majority of the beneficiaries are eagerly waiting to hear him address during the discussion.

"Top on the agenda we expect the live chat to address is the government plan for the first batch of N-Power beneficiaries who are due to exit from the scheme come November this year. This is considered most important because the beneficiaries are currently under intense anxiety about their future after the exit.

"We also expect Mr. Afolabi to highlight activities and events that will lead to the exit date. We'll be glad to know the government's plan for us generally.

"Another important issue we expect Mr. Afolabi to address with every seriousness is the lingering issue of "Already Employed Beneficiaries" and those who does not go to their places of primary assignment. It has been our position that volunteers who are already employed must be fished out and punished accordingly. Same treatment should also be visited on others who don't go work at their PPAs.

"For avoidance of doubt, we are currently compiling the names of beneficiaries who are already employed and others who don't go work at their PPA. If no reasonable measures is taken by Mr. Afolabi and his team to this effect, we shall be left with no other option than to do good vow of publicly exposing and sending the names of defaulters to the appropriate quarters for punishment.

"Like we said before, when we release the list, N-Power and the federal government, including all Nigerians will be shocked by the level fraud being perpetrated by this set of fraudulent and wicked beneficiaries. Our position is simple. Only those who work, should eat. It is morally wrong for anyone to reap where he did not sow, at least not in N-Power scheme.

"We enjoin our members to remain steadfast and hopeful in this cause. Our dear benefactor, our amiable President Mohammadu Buhari as we know, is a man who understands the plights of the Nigerian youths. While we remain grateful to him for giving us this scheme, it is also our firm hope that our demand for Permanency is being given the needed attention and seriousness it deserve.

"One of the ways we can pay him back is by doing the job for which we are being paid. Those who absconded from their places of work in the hope that they cannot be noticed should be prepared for the greatest shock of their lives. On the other hand, those who have served diligently should be ready to receive their reward for good work.
