It was one night, too many. Its memories will remain fresh in the minds of the mammoth fun loving crowed who gathered from far and near to witness what can rightly be described as the first of its kind anywhere in Nigeria.

It was a night that Uli, the town of historic importance in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state was made the "temporary capital" of Showbiz in Nigeria -courtesy of billionaire entrepreneur, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as Emoney and his brother, leading Five Star music act and Limpopo crooner, Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known by his stage name, Kcee, both, proud sons of the soil.

It was the event of the first edition of Uli Music Festival, which saw the crème de la crème in Nigeria's Entertainment industry moved to Uli, home of the historic Annabel Airport and last capital of Biafra where the first white flag signifying the end of the Nigeria Civil War was first raised. Only very few know that this is the country home of billionaire Emoney.

With thrilling and rib cracking performances from Nigeria's finest comedians like Ayo Makum, aka AY, I Go Dye, Dauda, Acapella and Funnybone and first class music acts like Phyno, Runtown, Bracket, Duncan Mighty, Oritse Femi, Zoro and many others, the festival was not only fun packed but also full of lessons for those who are eager to learn.

Perhaps one the most eloquent testimonies of the lessons of the night came from the popular comedian, AY who at a point in his performance, admitted that Emoney and his brother, Kcee have set the pace for other entertainers and wealthy people whose fame and impact are only felt in big cities like Lagos and Abuja where they mostly reside. He told the crowd that he has accepted the challenge thrown by Emoney and Kcee as he promised to organize similar event for his own people in his hometown in 2019.

But it wasn't just a night of fun and laughter. It was ultimately a night of impact, empowerment and giving back to the society -a pointer to the fact that Emoney and Kcee have a clearcut idea of what they needed to achieve through the event. In just one night, the duo offered full scholarship up to university level and give cash prizes worth thousands of US dollars to many others who came top in separate dancing competitions moderated by Kcee and AY respectively.

Proudly sponsored by Star beer, Best wine, Air Peace and Five Star tomatoes - the Emoney affair, the night also provided uncommon opportunities for many upcoming acts from Uli and elsewhere to showcase their talents and have a firsthand meeting and interaction with their seniors and role models in the music industry, as one the rising stars told CNR Nigeria correspondent at the event: "I'm most happy tonight. Coming here has given me a feeling of achievement. Most importantly, I met with one of the big names at the backstage who just offered me an invitation to Lagos for talks about signing. I will remain grateful to Emoney and Kcee for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent here tonight. It has not been easy but tonight has brought a turnaround to my life", the young talented artist who pleaded anonymity to CNR Nigeria correspondent.

Away from showbiz personalities and entertainers, the event was well attended by politicians, businessmen and captains of industry including oil magnet and billionaire businessman, Dr ABC Orjiakor (Ugonnia 1 of Uli), CEO of Air Peace, Barr Allen Onyema, CEO of Westfield Energy Resources and ex-President-General of Uli town, Chief Henry Okolie-Aboh (Igiligi Uli) and many others too long to mention, who watched from the VIP section of the Uli Township Stadium, venue of the event.

For many in the crowd, being present at the 2018 maiden edition of Uli Music Festival made their 2018 Christmas the best ever. One of the regulars, Collins Onye who spoke to CNR Nigeria correspondent said that he will continue to relish on the experiences and lessons of the night.

"For me, being here made this year's Christmas my best Christmas ever. And I feel so proud to be a son of Uli. I came down from Lagos to celebrate with my family. I was in Lagos when I learnt about this event and decided to come. So far, I feel so proud and happy tonight. Emoney and Kcee have made me proud. Who could have believed that popular stars like Phyno, Runtown, AY and several others will be in Uli. It's a great achievement and there are lessons to learn. Before our very eyes, a boy who said he'll be writing JAMB exam next year was given a full scholarship to the university and others gifted with cash  prizes. This is how God remembered them this year. It was indeed a last minute blessing. It's full of lessons for me".

Another fun lover and student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU Uli who could not hold her joy told CNR Nigeria correspondent that she came all the way from Enugu with her friends to watch the show.

"I'm sooooo happy tonight. I'm Jane. Meet my friends Uche, Sommy and Johnson. We came in from Enugu to be part of this and I must confess it's worth everything. I'm a student of COOU Uli and before we left school due to the ASUU strike, a friend told me about the show so decided that I must attend. I'm a fun loving girl and I'm so happy. By the time the show ends I will go to my campus lodge with my friends. I hope to be here next year for the 2019 edition", Jane, a 300 level Anatomy student said.

A rundown of entertainers at the event show that attendees were satisfactorily thrilled with electrifying performances from Phyno, Runtown, Bracket, Zoro, Duncan Mighty, Oritse Femi, Ruff Coin, Nigga Raw, Slow Dog, Faze, YAW, Kcee, DG 50, Wizboy, Mr. 2Kay, Acapella and several other upcoming acts.

No doubt the December 30, 2018 Uli Music Festival proudly hosted by Africa's youngest billionaire, Emoney and the "Five Star Music" General, Kcee has made Uli town the envy of others and given its people a deep sense of honour, a reason to be proud and indeed, a bragging right. May God bless and replenish Emoney and Kcee and may their days be long!
