Confusion! N-Power Volunteer Under Attack For Exposing Another Beneficiary Who Collects Stipend For Doing Nothing

A Lagos State N-Power volunteer, Nixon Carter (not real name) has come under heavy attack from his fellow volunteers after he revealed that he worked closely with the head of his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) to terminate the appointment of one of his N-Power colleagues who receives monthly stipends but doesn't come to work.

According to Carter who shared the story on a social media platform, the affected beneficiary has been disqualified from the programme and hunt for him is currently on-going to dispossess him of the device and stipends he received.

The disqualified volunteer is said to be a permanent staff of UAC, a popular manufacturing company in Lagos.

Mr.  Carter wrote: "I once brought to your attention about a colleague who hasn't come to our ppa since the day he was posted on February 2017 and continued receiving stipends till October and has collected device, some people abused to mind my business which I did and all that even when I knew what he was doing is wrong taking food from someone who really will work for it.

"To cut the story short, he was reported by our head of ppa and he has been disqualified from the programme. His profile now show disqualified and stipend stopped since October. So according to SUBEB Maryland Lagos and our focal person, a beneficiary not pre-selected will replace him next term. They are on the hunt for him for the device and stipend collected without working for the stipulated period.

But Mr Carter got more than he bargain for after he was opposed by majority of N-Power beneficiaries who commented on his post, many of whom condemned him for not minding his business" and for "spoiling other people business"

Among those who called him out was King Praise, Who laid curse on Nixon for exposing the dubious beneficiary.

"Nixon it will not be well with you and all your followers here supporting you".

Another person who commented, Jerry called Nixon Carter a "bastard" for his action.

"That is too bastard of you. Did you know how many ghost workers your focal person has?

"So now  you are happy with that right? Mtswwww!!!  I don't know what is wrong with some people. Just mind your own business.

However, few other  volunteers who reacted to the post praised Mr Nixon for his courage, insisting that there was no justification for someone who collects monthly payment for a job he does not do.

It should be recalled that Nigeria's Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi was reported to have criticized Nigerian youth accusing them of supporting corruption. A situation he blame for the inability of the Nigerian youth to take over leadership of the nation.
