BREAKING: NYSC Disowns Kemi Adeosun's Exemption 'Certificate'

The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday reacted to the certificate forgery scandal involving the minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun.
Premium Times had exclusively report that Ms Adeosun, Nigeria's finance minister skipped the mandatory national service and used a forged certificate to cover for it.

Speaking for the first time since the news broke, NYSC’s Director of Public Relations, Adenike Adeyemi, said in a statement on Monday that the service is working towards responding to the reports of Mrs Adeosun’s forged certificate.
While the statement noted that Ms Adeosun applied for exemption, it was however, silent on when the application was made and what decision was taken on it.
Checking our records, Mrs. Adeosun did apply for an Exemption Certificate.
We shall investigate the origin of the purported Exemption Certificate in question
Thank you".
The brief statement signed by the NYSC Director of Public Relations read:
"Our attention has been drawn to the issue of the alleged forgery of an NYSC Exemption Certificate by the Honorable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun.
