It's Party Dance For Arewa Youths, Python Dance For IPOB, Reno Omokri Says

President Mohammadu Buhari and IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu

Social critic and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has again criticized President Mohammadu Buhari's handling of the Agitation by the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) saying that while Northern youths 'got a party dance' for handing quit notice to Igbos in the Northern parts of the country, IPOB members 'get python dance' for their Biafran restoration agitation.

Mr Omokri maintained his earlier position that President Buhari is to blame for making Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Biafran separatist movement the instant celebrity he has become and global recognition he was enjoying.

In an article posted on his Facebook handle today, Saturday September 16, 2017, the former Presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan said that whatever challenge the President was having over Nnamdi Kanu today was what he brought upon himself.

"Until Nnamdi Kanu was arrested by Mohammadu Buhari he was unknown to most Nigerians and this include Nigerians of southeastern origin. The president actually created Nnamdi Kanu, made him celebrity and gave him the power he has right now.

"Right now he has empowered the young man to do a lot more damage to him and his inept administration by making him a cause celebre that even foreign diplomats go to pay homage to. What was Nnamdi Knau doing before President Buhari had him arrested? Radio Biafra? How many people were listening to it?

While noting that injustice under the President Buhari administration was too glaring, blatant, and obnoxious, Omokri, the United States-based pastor blame the President for not taking decisive action against the Northern youths who handed Igbos in Northern Nigeria a quit notice.

Omokri said: "Arewa (northern) gave their fellow Nigerians a Quit Notice and they get a song and dance from the Buhari administration. IPOB youths who did not threaten other Nigerians get python dance from the same government. How is that fair?

Stating that President Buhari could have defeated Nnamdi Kanu and his separatist agenda if he had only been equitable and just in his management of Nigeria, Mr Omokri advised the President to borrow a leaf from England's handling of  Ireland and Scotland's separatist agitations.

"History does not repeat itself. Men repeat history. The United States has 14 separatist movements. England invited her own separatist movements to form a regional govt in Ireland and Scotland, they even threw in a referendum into the bargain!, Omokri said.
