Device Distribution: Beneficiaries Attack N-Power Over Reasons For Withholding Device Distribution

Following the announcement yesterday Friday November 10, 2017 by the Federal Government Empowerment Initiative, N-Power that it is withholding devices belonging to volunteers who are not regularly attending their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), Volunteers who were infuriated by the development have taken to social media to express their anger.

N-Power had yesterday announced that those who are yet to receive notification for collection of their device and are not N-Agro volunteers have their device currently on hold for not attending their Place of Primary Assignment regularly.

"If your device is on hold and you are not N-Agro, it means we have received report that you do not attend your Place of Primary Assignment regularly", the announcement read in part.

But some volunteers who were apparently infuriated by the development lashed out at N-Power for coming up with such announcement 'at a time they should be apologizing to volunteers for their bad handling of the device distribution in most states'.

Most of the beneficiaries who expressed their disappointment with the announcement questioned the measure employed by N-Power in determining who have been regular or otherwise at their different places of assignment.

A volunteer from Osun state, Adedeji Kayode said it was shocking to know that N-Power who was supposed to tender unreserved apology to volunteers for their bad handling of the device distribution has turn around to insult the sensibility of some hardworking volunteers who are yet receive their device-pick-up invitation.

"I was shocked to learn that N-Power after delaying our device for several months due to bad handling of the distribution process has now turn around to insult those who are diligently discharging our duties in our various PPAs with this latest announcement. In fact I must say that the huge respect I have for this scheme has been greatly diminished by this development.

Another beneficiary, Anonyuo John queried the instrument used by N-Power for determining who is regular or not at his or her PPA as he knew some beneficiaries who hardly visit their PPAs but were the first to collect their device.

"N-Power let me tell you, if you are no longer capable of providing the device to every volunteer as originally planned, kindly inform us. But telling me that the reason my device is on hold is because I do not attend my PPA regularly is not only provocative but also malicious and unfounded. How about those who do not go to their PPA but were the firsts to collect their device? I know many other volunteers like myself who work diligently in their PPA but are yet to receive any invite from you for device collection. Please don't insult us.

For volunteer Muyiwa Mahmud, N-Power owe hardworking volunteers unreserved apology for rewarding their patient with insult.

N-Power I am not happy with this post. I don't know if you are saying that I am one of those whose device is on hold for not attending their PPA regularly. You may need to come to my school to confirm that all N-Power staff  there are regular and hardworking. I demand an unreserved apology from you. Because I feel insulted by this post.
