APC Celebrating Akpabio Who has a Corruption Case at EFCC - Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri |
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri criticized the President Mohammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Alliance, APC for appointing as "leader of the APC in Akwa-Ibom", Senator Goodswill Akpabio whose alleged corruption case is still pending at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Omokri wondered why President Buhari and APC still expect Nigerians to see his administration as one that has zero tolerance for corruption.
Writing through his official Facebook account Thursday, Omokri said:
"This is the man they appointed ‘Leader of the APC in Akwa-Ibom’. And tomorrow the APC will say Buhari has ZERO tolerance for corruption! When you celebrate alleged corruption, how can you be celebrated as an anti corruption administration?".
This is coming after yesterday's event in Akwa-Ibom where Senator Godswill Akpabio official dump the PDP for the APC. APC leaders at the event had blamed the PDP for its misrule in the state in the last 16 years.
But in a swift reaction to the statements by APC leaders, Omokri reminded the APC that two former governors of the state who ruled during the said 16 years are now celebrated members of the APC.
"Yesterday, you said PDP’s 16 year rule in Akwa-Ibom was a waste. Victor Attah ruled for the first 8 years. Godswill Akpabio ruled for the second 8 years. Both men are now in APC. My question is this: Is APC a WASTE RECYCLING PLANT? If that is the case, then PDP has recycled its waste to APC and is now clean!", Omokri said.
