Buhari's Offer To Ghana: Demon Offering To Deliver A Pastor - Reno Omokri | CNR

United States, US-based Nigerian pastor and aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has mocked President Mohammadu Buhari's pledge to assist Ghana in their fight against corruption.

Reactions have continued to trail Mr. Buhari's offer to help Ghana in their fight against corruption during a visit to the country to mark its 61st independence anniversary

Reacting to the President's comment, Omokri likened Mr. Buhari's offer to a demon offering to deliver a pastor from bondage.

He said: "Ghana is at 81 on this year's Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index, while Nigeria is at 148. My question to President Buhari is how can you help a nation that is less corrupt than yours to fight corruption?

"It is like a demon offering to deliver a pastor! That is how the same Buhari disgraced Nigeria after the 2016 Munich shooting by promising to help Germany fight terrorism.

"Imagine Nigeria that is rated as the 4th most terrorized nation in the world, wanting to help Germany, one of the least terrorized nation, to fight corruption. Who should help who? Buhari should be in a retirement home, not at our Presidential Villa", Pastor Omokri said.

Recall that Transparency International, TI had in their 2017 annual Corruption Perception Index released February 2018 rated Nigeria the 148th most corrupt nation in the world while Ghana, a sister African nation, was rated 81.

What the TI rating suggests is that that Nigeria is becoming more corrupt under the President Mohammadu Buhari-led federal government as the current rating showed, when compared to the country's rating under the former President Goodluck Jonathan.
